Australian Super League:
v New Zealand / v Great Britain |
Notes:
1. In 1997 an Australian representative
team played five Test matches (recognised by the International
Rugby League Federation) against New Zealand (2) and Great Britain
(3). They are categorised separately in the above table as they
were not representatives of the ARL.
2. World Cup, World Series &
'Rest of the World' matches are not recognised by the International
Rugby League Federation as Tests (though they are by some countries).
The ARL has granted Test status to matches played by Australia
in the 1995 Rugby League World Cup, and the 'Australia v Rest
of the World' match played in Brisbane 1997.
3. The 2004 Australia v. France
match has been given Test status by both countries (confirmed
by ARL on 31.10.05).
4. Tri-Nations matches are recognised
as Tests.
5. The 'Bill Kelly Trophy' - Australia
v. New Zealand - is held by the winner of each Test match (unless
a Test match series is re-introduced). The ANZAC Test and post
NRL Grand Final Test held over recent seasons are not a two match
series. The trophy is contested during designated Tri-Nations
matches.
