Australia v England

1933 in England
1st Test - 7 October : lost 0-4 / Belle Vue, Manchester (33,000)

2nd Test - 11 November : lost 5-7 / Headingley, Leeds (29,688)
3rd Test - 16 December : lost 16-19 / Station Road, Swinton (10,990)

Queensland's Joe Doyle (of Toowoomba) played one Test on the tourHeartbroken by the death of University's Roy Morris in Malta on the ship to England, the 1933 Kangaroos arrived in a sombre mood. The remarkable Dave Brown - who rewrote the record books on tour - and the great lock forward Wally Prigg both played 32 of 37 matches.

The Kangaroos blitzed their opponents for most of the tour, losing only 10 matches. Unfortunately, this included the 3 Tests - although with a change of fortune they could have easily won all three!

The scores in the Tests were 4-0, 7-5 and 19-16. Captained by Wests' Frank McMillan, the Australians also visited France and played the first Rugby League match in that country (against England).
